1983
After many years as the "local watering hole" and then a vacant run down building, Ed and Eileen Branch bought the property. With Ed's Vision and the family's hard work, the Seafood Ketch Restaurant opened its doors.
1992
Stuart and Lisa Branch take over the helm of the "ketch". Some family, friends and aesthetics may have changed but the Branch family goal instilled by Ed and Eileen remained the same. Good food, comfortable atmosphere, and attention to detail, with one of the best views of a working harbor in Maine.
2021
After working with Stuart and Lisa for many years, I aim to continue the traditions and ideals passed down by the Branch family. This restaurant continues to be a historic place in Bass Harbor, Maine, and with help of family and friends, it is our pleasure to continue serving you inside and out on our flagstone patio. We hope you enjoy your visit to the "ketch" and if there is anything we can do to assist you, please don't hesitate in asking.
